How the Evaluation Works

Bibliometric Analyses and Overviews
We will help you get oriented in scientific performance – yours, your team’s, and the whole institution’s. We prepare clear bibliometric analyses that you can use for evaluation, publishing, and grant applications.

How it works

Reporting Research Results
We will help you report scientific and research results correctly and on time – clearly, without errors and in line with the current national methodology and the internal methodology
Why reporting is important
- basis for the evaluation of research organisations
- influences institutional funding
- monitoring of grant and project fulfilment
Not required to report
Jimp – articles in impact‑factor journals marked as *Article*, *Review Article* or *Letter* are automatically imported from Web of Science.
Required to report
- all other publication outputs (e.g., Scopus‑indexed items, peer‑reviewed non‑impact journals, books, book chapters, conference proceedings),
- applied and non‑publication outputs (patents, software, methods, technologies, etc.).
How to submit results and related information
- Publication results (except Jimp) should be sent to: kamila.fabianova@fnusa.cz, include:
- title of the result,
- full text in PDF (or a link to an electronic version).
Applied results are to be handled together with Technology Transfer
Basic conditions for reporting
A result can be reported only if:
- it meets the methodology criteria,
- it has the correct year of implementation,
- it is fully entered in OBD,
- it has at least one author with an FNUSA affiliation.
📌 Without a “home author” the result cannot be reported.
Result verification
Once a year all workplaces (departments, clinics and ICRC teams) are invited, via secretariats or designated persons, to verify their results in the public version of the OBD database.
Consultation
If anything is unclear, e‑mail kamila.fabianova@fnusa.cz, send the supporting material for the result and we will together choose the proper reporting procedure. The aim is to ensure that all relevant FNUSA results are reported correctly and on time.
External Evaluation
At the St. Anne´s Faculty Hospital / International Clinical Research Center a regular assessment of research activity is carried out by the international panel ISAB (International Scientific Advisory Board).

ISAB assessment is a key tool for the long‑term increase of scientific quality at FNUSA‑ICRC.
CoARA: Responsible Research Assessment
The Faculty Hospital of St. Anne in Brno and the International Clinical Research Center have joined the international initiative Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (https://www.coara.org/). CoARA is a global coalition of research institutions, funders and assessment bodies that aims to change the way research is evaluated. By joining, our institution commits to modern, fair and quality‑focused research assessment.
Emphasis is placed on:
- quality over quantity,
- real research impact,
- a broader spectrum of outputs (not only publications).
