Project description
The main objective of this project is optimization and preclinical progression of our new highly selective inhibitors of the kinase DDR1, and identification of candidate compounds for clinical testing. The specific aims of the project are the following: 1. expansion of the series of new inhibitors of the kinase DDR1 and identification of compounds with IC50 < 10 nM; 2. thorough characterization of the compounds‘ specificity in vitro and cell-based efficacy; 3. analysis of the effect of DDR1 inhibition on biological and pathological properties of selected types of malignant cells; 4. determination of efficacy of selected compounds in mouse models; 5. determination of additional pharmacological properties of lead compounds. The whole project is structured in such a way that it will enable the transition to the future clinical testing in collaboration with industrial partner.
