To access the e-book database, you must obtain a password. Please request one by emailing eduid@fnusa.cz. In your email, include your full name and employee ID number. There is no required application form—simply state that you are requesting an EduID password. Requests must be sent from your official FNUSA email address. Your username is the same as the one used for other FNUSA services.

On the login page, select “Access via EduID”, then choose “St. Anne’s University Hospital Brno” as your organization. On the following page, enter your employee ID number and the assigned password. During your first login, you may be asked whether you want to share your information only once or grant permanent permission. If you choose one-time permission, you will need to confirm data sharing each time you log in. The assigned password can also be used for other electronic information resources.

To use this tool, you must register and log in. Initial registration must be completed from a computer connected to the FNUSA network (via its IP address).

The same registration can be used to access other Clarivate platforms, including Web of Science, Journal Citation Reports, and EndNote.

InCites is an analytical tool that uses citation data from publications indexed in Web of Science to evaluate research productivity, scientific impact, and benchmarking through quantitative indicators.

The collection of prestigious medical journals published by the American Medical Association (AMA) on the JAMA Network platform includes the flagship journal JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association), published since 1883 and issued 48 times a year. It is one of the world’s most widely read and highly cited journals in general and internal medicine. The collection also includes 11 additional specialty journals covering a broad range of medical disciplines.

MEDLINE is the leading bibliographic database in the field of medicine, produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM). It contains records from more than 5,600 scholarly journals published in over 40 languages, covering literature from 1946 to the present. More than 80% of records include author abstracts, and full-text articles are available for more than 1,000 Open Access journals. Searching is supported by Medical Subject Headings (MeSH), the controlled vocabulary developed by the NLM.

The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) is one of the world’s most prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals, published by the Massachusetts Medical Society for more than 200 years. NEJM Evidence provides broader context and critical evaluation of research methods and findings to support evidence-based clinical decision-making while taking into account the time constraints and workload of healthcare professionals.

ProQuest Central is one of the world’s most comprehensive multidisciplinary databases, providing access to a wide range of information resources across all major academic disciplines, including natural sciences, engineering, medicine, business, social sciences, humanities, arts, education, and religion. The collection includes thousands of full-text journals, newspapers, reports, books, conference proceedings, theses and dissertations, as well as other types of grey literature.

The Springer Compact subscription provides access to more than 2,500 journal titles in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, medicine, economics, social sciences, and humanities, published by Springer and its affiliated publishers, including 38 academic imprints. This transformative agreement also enables researchers at member institutions within the consortium to publish Open Access articles in more than 1,900 eligible journals.

UpToDate Anywhere is a leading evidence-based clinical decision support resource. It provides rapid answers to clinical questions and evidence-based recommendations for diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. It is designed not only for point-of-care clinical use but also for medical education, nursing education, and the continuing professional development of physicians and healthcare professionals.

Web of Science is the platform providing access to the internationally renowned citation database of the same name.

Its core component is the multidisciplinary Web of Science Core Collection, which includes the Science Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Conference Proceedings Citation Index, and Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).

The subscription also includes access to Journal Citation Reports (available through the InCites platform), the only database providing the official Journal Impact Factor. Since 2022, the ESCI backfile has also been included in the Web of Science subscription.

Since 2023, Wiley has transitioned from subscriptions to selected subject collections and title holdings to a comprehensive multidisciplinary Read and Publish agreement, providing access to its complete journal portfolio published since 1997, comprising more than 1,600 journals.
